By accessing or using Practical Inkwell Story Studio ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
Practical Inkwell Story Studio is an AI-assisted creative writing platform that provides 12 genre templates, an AI writing coach (the Muse), PDF export, a community showcase and bookstore, and optional premium add-ons including the Living Scrapbook and animated book templates.
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information during registration and keep it current.
Inkwell Pro is offered as a monthly subscription at $7.99/month with a 7-day free trial. Your trial begins when you subscribe and you will not be charged during the trial period. At the end of the trial, your subscription automatically renews each month until you cancel. You may cancel at any time — access continues until the end of the current billing period. One-time purchases (Living Scrapbook: $8.99, Premium Templates: $4.99) are non-refundable once the feature has been activated.
All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card details. By subscribing or making a purchase, you authorize Stripe to charge your selected payment method for the amounts described. Stripe's terms and conditions apply to all payment transactions.
You retain full ownership of all creative content you produce using the Service, including books, scrapbooks, and any other works. By publishing a book to the Community Bookstore, you grant other users a non-exclusive right to read your published work within the platform. When you sell a book through the Community Bookstore, you keep 98.5% of every sale — the platform retains 1.5% to cover transaction and hosting costs. You may remove your content from the Showcase at any time.
You agree not to use the Service to produce or distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or infringing upon third-party intellectual property rights. You may not use the AI features to generate content that impersonates others, spreads misinformation, or violates the rights of any person. We reserve the right to remove content and terminate accounts that violate these guidelines.
The AI Muse and writing tools are provided as creative aids. AI-generated suggestions do not constitute original authorship and should be reviewed and edited by you before publication. You are solely responsible for the final content you produce, including ensuring it does not infringe on the rights of others and that any AI-assisted content is disclosed where required by applicable law or publishing platform policies.
Monthly subscription payments are non-refundable once charged, but you may cancel at any time to prevent future charges and retain access until the end of the current billing period. One-time purchases (Living Scrapbook, Premium Templates) are non-refundable once the feature has been activated. If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us at ashdean08@yahoo.com and we will review your case.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that AI-generated suggestions will be accurate or suitable for your purposes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Practical Inkwell shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of unpublished manuscripts. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 30 days preceding the claim.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the Service. Upon termination, your published works may be removed from the Community Showcase.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on the platform. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
